Essential browser storage
Theme and language preferences may be stored locally so the interface can remember a visitor's choice. These preferences are not used to identify a person.
Advertising status
On selected indexable articles and primary reports, visitors may opt in to Monetag In-Page Push ads. The Monetag tag is requested from nap5k.com only after the visitor actively selects Allow Monetag ads. Monetag and its partners may then use cookies or similar technologies, or process device and browsing information, to display and measure ads, subject to applicable rules and their own policies. Choosing Essential only does not load this tag.
Consent requirements
This release uses a local affirmative choice before the Monetag tag loads, but its site-built privacy panel is not certified for regional TCF compliance. Publisher and network consent obligations for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland require a separate regional review and appropriate consent tools. If personalized Google AdSense ads are enabled for those regions later, a Google-certified CMP integrated with the IAB TCF is required.
Managing choices
Use the Privacy choices button on an eligible article or primary report to change the local advertising preference. Changing to Essential only reloads a page on which the ad script has already loaded; previously set third-party cookies may still require browser controls to clear. Visitors can also delete the site's stored preferences using browser settings.
